In the West Midlands Herefordshire Rivers is the only regional Local Action Group (LAG) under Leader + and one of only 25 operating in England. Unlike other schemes administered through European Funding which tend to be targeted at larger public sector organisations, Leader + focuses on local communities who are responsible for drawing up and implementing the development plan for their particular area.
