Acquistive Crime

Government Office for the West Midlands is working with partners to co-ordinate various Government initiatives designed to tackle acquisitive crime in the region.

‘Acquisitive crime’ covers aspects of theft and robbery including street crime, business and retail crime and vehicle crime. More information on the national picture

Our work includes:

  • Appointing a Business Crime Reduction Advisor to reduce the level of business crime in the region
  • Co-ordination of the Street Crime Initiative
  • Supporting partnerships to deliver and develop strategies to tackle vehicle crime
