1. Supporting Performance Management against Home Office Public Service Agreements (PSAs) 1 and 4 (on crime reduction and drugs).
For example, providing data and analysis to enable performance to be monitored and decisions to be made about where to offer additional support.
2. Further research into and analysis of crime patterns and possible solutions.
This might include examining in detail the patterns of a particular type of crime in a specific area, to ensure the right interventions are applied.
3. Promoting effective use of analysis and evidence in the region.
For example, developing and organising networks for researchers and analysts in the region to allow the sharing of good practice.
